Women's Cross Country Places 21st at Louisville Cardinal Classic

The Westminster women's cross country team placed 21st out of 44 teams at the Louisville Cardinal Classic on Saturday, October 3. The Westminster Blue Jays tallied 648 points and averaged a 21:54.83 5K race time.

Senior Brier Skogsberg finished first for the Blue Jays. She placed 58th out of 365 runners with a final time of 20:08.79. Freshman Jessie Kuykendall finished next, crossing the finish line in 20:27.07. She placed 85th. 

Sophomore Taylor Howard placed 99th with her 20:36.16 time, and sophomore Madison Zack placed 143rd with her 21:14.87 time. 

Freshman Cora Panettiere rounded out the Blue Jay team with a 27:07.25 time (263rd). 

The Blue Jays have just one more meet before the conference invitational. They travel to Illinois College on Saturday, October 17, for a 6K race.
