The Blue Jays Women's Tennis squad opened up their 2018 conference season with a home match against the Webster Gorlocks.

In a close feat, the Gorlocks overcame the Blue Jays by a score of 6-3.

Payton Beeler earned the sole singles victory on the day for Westminster, beating Webster's Robin Bolme in straight sets.

In doubles, the duos of Ashley Kistaitis/Sydney Attebery and Natalie Tiffany/Peyton Beeler each won their respective matches in close affairs, 8-6.

Webster moves to 2-0 in the SLIAC while Westminster begins the season 0-1.

The Blue Jays will look to get their first conference victory when Greenville comes to Fulton next Friday, April 6th for a 5pm start.
