The Westminster baseball team rounded out their games in the RussMatt Tournament in Florida with an 8-4 win over Keuka College on Friday. The Westminster Blue Jays leave Florida with an 8-4 season record. 

Keuka got on the board first with a RBI single up in the middle in the bottom of the first inning. 

Freshman Chris Asher led-off the second inning with a double to left center. Sophomore Tanner Branneky came up to the plate next and hit a homerun to take the 2-1 lead. Keuka managed to grab two runs in the bottom of the second off a RBI double to take back the lead, 3-2. 

The next three innings were scoreless, but in the top of the sixth, the Blue Jays scored two runs to pull back the lead, 4-3. Junior Deion Hughes scored an unearned run off junior Tyler Branneky's RBI, and Branneky then scored with Asher's RBI single to left field. Keuka scored one run in the bottom of the sixth to knot up the game at 4-4. 

With bases loaded and two outs in the top of the seventh, Westminster's senior Tim Chambliss singled to right center to score sophomore Nick Cessna and junior A.C. Long. Freshman Nick Bohlmann added another run to take the 7-4 lead before the Blue Jays received their final out.

In the eighth inning, the Blue Jays added one more run with freshman Blake Strebler's RBI double to left center, scoring Long. 

The Blue Jays held Keuka from scoring again, ending the game with the final score of 8-4.

Junior pitcher Collin Brinker (1-1) earned the win on the mound, pitching four innings and striking out four. He faced 17 batters and allowed one run. Asher started the game on the mound, also pitching four innings and striking out four. Junior Will Miller pitched the final inning of the game and struck out two.

Chambliss and Asher each finished with two hits. 

The Blue Jays will stop in Louisville, Kentucky Sunday on their way back from Florida for a conference doubleheader with Spalding University.
