Men's Cross Country Finishes 4th at SLIAC Championship, Edwards Earns First Team All-Conference Honors

The Westminster men's cross country team placed fourth at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Championship. The Westminster Blue Jays scored 111 points in the 8K race.

Senior Jesse Edwards earned a spot on the SLIAC All-Conference First Team, and sophomore Glenn Teubner was selected to the All-Conference Second Team. 

Senior Will Megl was named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. 

Edwards finished first for the Blue Jay squad, placing seventh with a 26:31.11 time. Teubner finished just seconds later, placing ninth in 26:38.63. 

Megl placed 27th, earning the team 25 points with a time of 28:25.17, and junior Ryan Dyer came in 44th place, earning the team 36 points with a 29:53.08 time. 

Senior Jordan Jensen earned the final points for the Blue Jay team, earning 36 points with a 46th place finish (30:04.49). 

Sophomore Nathan Wilson and freshman Andrew Patterson closed out the Blue Jay runners with a 54th (31:13.82) and 56th (31:48.39) place finish, respectively. 

The men's cross country team will now travel to the NCAA Midwest Regional on November 14, 2015 in Rock Island, Ill.
