Scott was a two-sport varsity athlete in basketball and baseball. He holds multiple records in baseball including the modern-day record for games played with 169. He holds the modern-day record for At-Bats with 472. He is top 10 all-time in hits, runs, and career batting average, and Scott has the 3rd most RBIs in a season with 54. Scott was the MVP of the Maryville Classic in 1988 for basketball as well.
