ST. LOUIS, Mo. -Westminster men's basketball fell 95-64 to No. 19 Illinois Wesleyan in the Webster Tournament.

The Blue Jays start the season 0-4 in their nonconference schedule. 

"We played a very elite team today," said Westminster Head Coach Matt Mitchell. "This is a team that will have a chance to win the national championship. It was very beneficial for us to see the pace of play of elite teams. If we don't panic, this tough nonconference schedule will benefit us well."

Westminster fell behind 4-0 early in the game, but Stu Hollandsworth and Romo Tabb hit three points each to tie the game at six points each. Another Tabb jumper made the score 8-6 in favor of the Blue Jays three minutes into the game. Tabb and Hayden Drace each hit another jumper the maintain the Westminster lead eight minutes into the game, but Illinois Wesleyan went on an 11-0 run to gain a 24-15 lead. 

Hollandsworth made a three-pointer to stop the Titan run and pull back within six at the 10 minute mark of the first half. 

Strong three-point shooting from the Titans helped them maintain their double-digit lead into the first half, including a 13-2 run that gave Illinois Wesleyan a 20-point lead with two minutes remaining in the half. 

Illinois Wesleyan maintained their 20-point lead through the 13-minute mark of the second half, but Tabb made a layup to come back within 19 points of the lead, but a 7-0 Titan run continued to increase their lead. 

Westminster was never able to recover from the deficit despite the three-pointers from Drace down the stretch, finishing the game 95-64. 

Kobe Wands led Westminster with 20 points, followed by Tabb with 15. Drace added double-digit scoring with 10 points. 

The Blue Jays face Ozarks Saturday at 1 p.m. to complete the Webster Tournament.
