LAMONI, Iowa - Westminster women's golf recorded it's first team score in recent history, placing ninth at the Graceland University Women's Golf Tournament.

Rebecca Roth, the team's experienced senior, led the way for Westminster, shooting a 102 and tying for 28th.

"Rebecca is our one experienced golfer and we will rely on her over the next few weeks to help lead us," said Westminster Head Coach James Arnold. "I am really excited to see those scores drop as early as next week as the group gets more comfortable."

Connar Hadley was right behind Roth, shooting a 105 and placing 32nd.

Bailee Zemianek and Makayla Jackson were the final two to score for the Blue Jays, shooting a 140 and a 166, respectively.

"I know the ladies are a little bummed with their final scores but I am super proud of them," said Arnold. "Because of weather this was our first event of the year and the first college golfing opportunity for three of our four team members.  So considering that, plus it being an unfamiliar and tough course and the long trek, I'm just ecstatic the ladies had the opportunity to record a team score for Westminster."
