FULTON, Mo. - The Westminster women's tennis team defeated Fontbonne 8-1 on Sunday.
In doubles, the Blue Jays got victories from the duos of Natalie Tiffany / Rebecca Zile and Erika Watanabe / Elenda Thomas-Deitz. Alison Frisella / Madison Gregory won by default to give Westminster the sweep in doubles.
In singles, Tiffany lost a hard fought-match that gave Fontbonne their own point of the day. Watanabe, Zile, Thomas-Deitz and Frisella all picked up victories over their opponents to earn points for Westminster. Gregory added a win by default and the Blue Jays won the match 8-1.
The Blue Jays will return to action when their spring season begins in March
