Taggart Continues Hot Offensive Streak

Madison Taggart notched her fifth goal of the season Saturday against the Ottawa University Braves.

It was her second straight game providing the scoring offense for the young Blue Jay squad.

"We played a competitive team today and the girls played strong," said Westminster Head Coach Kristi Crowley. "Our transitions were stronger and our team's movement was more fluid."

In addition to the strong attack from Taggart, Crowley also noted midfielder Lexi Lopez for sticking out in today's game, forcing "multiple turnovers and interceptions" to solidify the Blue Jay defensive efforts.

With the 17-1 loss, Westminster falls to 0-4 on the season.

The Blue Jays travel next Sunday to play Lindendwood-Belleville at 2 p.m.
