Westminster Women's Lacrosse Downed by Lynx

BELLEVILLE, Ill. - Westminster women's lacrosse traveled to Lindenwood-Belleville Sunday to face the Lynx, eventually falling 19-2 on two goals scored from Madison Taggart.

"This was a good game for us," said Westminster Head Coach Kristi Crowley. "We had far more possessions on our offensive side than in previous games. Our defense continues to improve and our transition is coming together."

Taggart scored her seventh goals this season with her two against the Lynx on seven shots.

Peyton Hall made 14 saves on the day.

After the game, both teams came together to honor Lindenwood lacrosse student-athlete Isaiah Kozak, who tragically passed away during this season. Each player wore ribbons in their hair and had Kozak's No. 41 jersey number on their face.

"It was great to see the two teams come together to support our lacrosse fmaily and the Lindenwood men's program," said Crowley.

Westminster women's lacrosse plays next Friday, April 7 at Northwestern-St. Paul at 7 p.m.
