Burns Scores First Career Goal at Northwestern

Westminster Women's Lacrosse showed improvement but lost to Northwestern-St. Paul on Friday 15-3.

Roberta Burns provided some of the offense for the Blue Jays, scoring her first career goal and providing a spark for the team.

Burns, along with the other attackers, "played hard re-defending", according to Head Coach Kristi Crowley. "We had more offensive possessions than previous games and had great crashes on defense."

The loss dropped the Blue Jays record to 0-6 on the season while the Eagles improved to 10-2 on the year.

"The final score didn't give enough credit to how well we played," asserted Coach Crowley.

Westminster stays on the road to face Northland College on Saturday, April 8th, at 1pm.
