Lawrence, KS-Rolla, Mo- 4/20/2024- The Westminster College men's and women's track and field team competed in the Dewey Allgood Invite hosted by Division II, Missouri S&T in Rolla, Missouri. Kalie Strayhorn received an invitation to the Kansas University Relays and represented the women's track and field team in Lawrence, Kansas. Strayhorn would place 8th overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.33 seconds.
Women's Results:
At the Kansas Relays, Kalie Strayhorn finished 8th overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.33. She ran a 12.30 in the preliminary heat. She would finish 12th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.11. She would just miss the cut as the top 9 advanced to the final.
At the Dewey Allgood Invite, Moenasia Sidique placed 7th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.35. She finished 8th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.19.
Emma Braby finished 10th in the shot put with a throw of 9.73 meters. Braby placed 13th in the discus with a 28.19-meter throw. She would finish 7th in the javelin with a throw of 31.49 meters.
Natalie Stewart placed 5th in the javelin with a throw of 32.87 meters.
Men's Results:
Elijah Teal finished 4th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.85 seconds. Teal placed 4th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.29 seconds.
Lane Martin placed 6th in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:05.65.
Isaac Armour-Dozer finished 11th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.35. Armour-Dozier placed 23rd in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.59 seconds.
Bryce Hale finished 13th in the javelin with a throw of 36.50 meters.
Michael Giles finished 20th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:07.99. Giles placed 24th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:23.92.
Jason Wilkerson placed 23rd in the discus with a throw of 28.14 meters.
The Blue Jays will be back in action on Friday and Saturday, April 26-27, when they participate in the SLIAC Championships in Greenville, Illinois.
