Men's Golf Places 6th At William Woods Spring Invitational

The Westminster men's golf squad opened the 2015 spring season at the two-day William Woods Spring Invitational at Tanglewood Golf Course. The Westminster Blue Jays finished day one 77 over par and ended the tournament with a sixth place score of 708. 

Junior Blake Stonecipher led the Blue Jay squad both days, finishing 24 over par with a score of 168 and a 26th place finish. Sophomore Brandon Hammerstone recorded a 28th place finish after completing day one with a score of 89 and day two with an 83.

Freshman Blake Harris, junior Jake Abbott and sophomore Connor Muenks all finished within ten strokes of each other. Harris placed 31st, finishing with scores of 98 and 86 for a total of 184. Abbott and Muenks rounded out the Blue Jays with a 32nd (89-101--190) and 33rd (100-95--195) place finish, respectively. 

The Blue Jays are on the course again on Monday, April 6, at the MacMurray Invite in Jacksonville, Illinois.
