McCaul, Teubner Lead Way At John Creer Invitational

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Shannon McCaul and Glen Teubner were the leading point scorers for the men's and women's track and field teams at the John Creer Invitational, hosted by Lindenwood University.  

McCaul earned a fifth-place finish out of 45 competitors in the 800-meter run, clocking in at two minutes, 26.83 seconds. She also tallied a second-place finish in the 3000 meter steeplechase out of eight runners. She timed in at 11:49.14. McCaul was the top NCAA Division III runner in both events. 

Teubner also finished second in the steeplechase on the men's team. Out of eight runners, he was the top Division III runner, finishing in 10:18.53. 

Other point-scorers for Westminster were Jessie Kuykendall, who finished eighth in the 1500 meters, posting a time of 5:06.93, almost four seconds faster than her seeded time. She was the top Division III runner in the race. 

Sydney Pinkterton finished seventh in the steeplechase at 13:43.73, and Taylor Howard finished eighth in the pole vault with a jump of 2.62 meters.

Both teams travel to Central Methodist next Saturday, April 8 for a one-day meet.
