Women’s Cross Country Places 16th at Missouri Southern Stampede

The Westminster women's cross country team took 16th place at the Missouri Southern Stampede Saturday morning. The Blue Jays competed against 24 teams and was one point shy from tying with Southwestern College for 15th place.

Freshman Shannon McCaul led the way for the Blue Jays, placing 59th with a 20:07.70 5K time.  Junior Claire Gibby followed closely behind, placing 65th with a time of 20:14.36.

Freshman Madison Zack finished in 20:41.07 (83rd), followed by freshman Taylor Howard (20:54.93, 96th). Senior Tiara Pettijohn and freshman Alex Rauscher rounded out the Blue Jay team with a 22:28.28 and 22:37.82 time, respectively.

The Blue Jays take two weeks off before returning to the course at the Gary Stoner Invitational in Fayette, MO on October 4.
