Westminster Women's Basketball to Face Pac-12 Colorado

FULTON, Mo. – Westminster women's basketball added a game against NCAA Division I, Pacific-12 conference opponent Colorado to the 2017-18 schedule.

The game is set for December 21 and will be an exhibition contest.

"These games are just tremendous opportunities for our program," said Westminster Head Coach James Arnold. "With this game at Colorado, we will have the chance to play against a team at the highest level and really test ourselves against the nation's best."

The game is the second of the season against a Division I opponent. The squad will face Evansville of the Missouri Valley Conference November 21.

"I think going to Colorado as a basketball team is a great opportunity," said junior Kendahl Adams. "I believe going to Colorado will be an eye-opening experience to all of us. You get the chance to go somewhere you may have not been before, see new faces, start networking, and even play against some of the top athletes."

The team will fly out to Denver on December 19 and spend the days leading up to the game in Denver and Boulder.

"I think playing this team will benefit us in many ways by pushing us and challenging us to our full potential," said sophomore guard Lydia Hale. "It will bring us closer as a team to work together to perform the best we can."

The game will be the second Pac-12 opponent Arnold has faced in his career. He led his Central Methodist squad against Washington State in 2014, falling by a score of 71-56.

"In my experience, these games do us a ton of good on and off the court," said Arnold. "It will prepare us for the rigors of SLIAC play and it's a great chance to grow together, learn more about one another, and create some great memories."
