Blue Jays Drops Regular Season Finale to Stephens, 7-2

The Westminster women's tennis team dropped their regular season finale to Stephens College on Monday afternoon, 7-2. The Blue Jays end their regular season with a 4-7 record.

Freshman Sydney Attebery and senior Jessica Klutts won their match in the no. one doubles position, 8-3, to give the Blue Jays a point heading into singles play. 

Junior Ellen Woolsey won the only singles point in the no. six spot. She lost the first set, 6-3, but bounced back to defeat her opponent 6-0 in set two. She went on to win set three, 1-0 (10-2), to win the match. 

The Blue Jays begin post season play on Friday, April 28, at the SLIAC Tournament. The Blue Jays enter the tournament as the no. three seed and will face the no. six seed, Fontbonne. The tournament is being held at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis, Mo., and the first round will begin at 11:00 am.
