Clavin Named SLIAC Hitter of the Week

Westminster College outfielder Ryan Clavin (St. Louis, Mo. / Vianney) was name the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week after a dominate performance at the plate last week.

Clavin hit .429 (9-21) in six games with a pair of home runs and 6 RBIs while striking out just once. The senior also recorded a .857 slugging percentage and had four multiple-hit games. On Sunday, Clavin homered in both games of Westminster's doubleheader against Simpson and totaled five RBIs between the two games.

The home runs were Clavin's second and third of the season and move him into fourth in school history with 22 career home runs. The current Westminster career record of 26 homers is held by Tanner Branneky, who played from 2014-17.

Up next the Blue Jays will play a nine-inning game Wednesday afternoon on the road against Robert-Morris Peoria.
