Money Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team

The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Football Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Jacob Money earned a spot on the first team in District 5 to represent Westminster Football.

A senior defensive back and international business major, Money has a near-perfect grade point average.

Money was tied for second on the team in tackles this season with 44, including 28 solo tackles. He forced one fumble, grabbed two interceptions, and made one pass breakup.

Money will advance to the All-America ballot to be released in December.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a significant contributor with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution and must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games or contests. Eligible athletes must also be of sophomore status or higher to be considered. Honorees are nominated and selected by CoSIDA members for eight different districts for all three NCAA divisions.
