Lebanon, IL 4/7/2023- The Westminster College men's track and field team competed in the Bearcat Classic on Friday. They would finish 6^th overall with 26 points.

Aaron Hurt (Centerview, MO/ Crest Ridge) competed in the high jump, long jump, and 100-meter dash. He would finish in 5^th place in the high jump with a height of 1.70 meters. Hurt placed 5^th in the long jump with a distance of 5.90 meters. He ran 12.87 in the 100 meters and finished in 14^th place.

Michael Giles (Pleasant Hill, IL / Pleasant Hill) competed in the 1500-meter run and finished with a time of 4:24.62 and finished in 13^th place. Giles also ran in the 800-meter run and posted a 2:07.20, good for 10^th place.

Lane Martin (Lexington, MO / Lexington) also competed in the 1500-meter run and placed 19^th with a time of 4:49.84. Martin ran a 19:11.94 in the 5000-meter run and placed 5^th.

Travis Bieg (Villa Ridge, MO / Washington) would finish 4^th in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 19.24.

Elijah Teal (Memphis, TN / Whitehaven) ran 11.58 in the 100-meter dash prelims and ran 11.62 in the finals, placing 5^th overall. Teal ran in the 200-meter dash and finished 4^th with a time of 22.73.

Ben Wallace (Chicago, IL / Thornton Fractional South) finished 13^th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.72. Wallace finished 19^th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 26.16.

Tanner Gillaspy (Edina, MO / Knox County) ran in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.11 and placed 7^th overall.

The Blue Jay 4x100 team consisted of Gillaspy, Hurt, Teal, and Wallace. They would finish in 4^th place with a time of 47.23.

Beig, Giles, Gillaspy, and Hurt would also compete in the 4x400-meter relay. They finished with a time of 3:56.57 and placed 4^th.
