Jacksonville, IL 1/25/2025- The Westminster College men's and women's track and field teams started the indoor season competing in the Snowbird Invitational hosted by Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois. 12th different athletes would make their Blue Jay debut. Freshman Ashton Wheeler secured a top-10 finish in the men's long jump, Dailian Brown finished 12th in the men's 60-meter dash. On the women's side Moenasia Sidique finished 12th in the women's 400-meter dash.
The Blue Jays will return to Jacksonville in two weeks to compete in the Jim Green Invitational.
Men's Results:
Brendan Reinhard finished 12th in the men's high jump with a 1.60-meter final jump.
Ashton Wheeler finished 10th in the men's long jump with a distance of 6.27 meters. He would finish 30th in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.50 seconds.
Mos Flowers finished 24th in the men's long jump with a distance of 5.77 meters. He would finish 25th in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.47 seconds.
Weston Jennings finished 35th in the men's long jump with a distance of 5.15 meters. He would finish 51st in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.84 seconds.
Dailian Brown finished 12th in the men's 60 meters dash with a time of 7.26 seconds. He would finish 23rd in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 24.20 seconds.
Isaac Armour-Dozier finished 44th in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.61 seconds. He would finish 43rd in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 25.55 seconds.
Marcus Garrett finished 58th in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 8.06 seconds. He would finish 58th in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 27.03 seconds.
Brayden Ewers finished 46th in the men's one mile run with a time of 5:25.69 minutes.
Noah Ottinger finished 22nd in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 56.49 seconds. He would finish 55th in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 26.38 seconds.
Andrew Hentz finished 29th in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 58.54 seconds. He would finish 59th in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 27.20 seconds.
Women's Results:
Emma Braby finished 18th in the women's shot put with a throw of 9.93 meters.
Amber Dierling finished 29th in the women's shot put with a throw of 8.42 meters.
Ilana Heffer finished 32nd in the women's shot put with a throw of 8.00 meters.
Makayla Cordes finished 23rd in the women's mile run with a time of 6:22.79. She would finish 17th in the women's 800-meter dash with a time of 3:00.69,
Moenaisa Sidique finished 12th in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.17. She would finish 18th in the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 28.42 seconds.
