2/8/2025 Jacksonville, IL- The Westminster College track and field team was back in Jacksonville, Illinois on Saturday to compete in the annual Jim Green Invitational hosted by Illinois College. Ten different Blue Jays set personal records during the meet. Moenaisa Sidique had a top-ten finish in the women's 400-meter and Emma Braby had a top-ten finish in the women's shot put. The Blue Jay men's 4x200 meter and distance medley relay teams got a pair of top-five finishes. Ashton Wheeler had the best individual finish on the men's side placing 13th in the men's long jump.
The Blue Jays will be back in action on February 21st when they will travel back to Jacksonville to compete in the Hilltop Classic hosted by Illinois College.
Women's Results:
Moenaisa Sidique placed 10th in the women's 400 meters at 1:02.74. She would place 15th in the 200 meters with a time of 27.80 seconds. She set a new personal record for herself during that event.
Makayla Cordes placed 15th in the women's mile run with a time of 6:07.17. She placed 16th in the women's 800 meters with a time of 2:49.81. Setting a personal record in both events.
Emma Braby placed 10th overall in the women's shot put with a throw of 9.90 meters.
Amber Dierling placed 24th in the women's shot put with a throw of 8.58 meters, a new personal record.
Llana Heffer placed 27th in the women's shot put with a throw of 8.05 meters, also setting a new persona record.
Men's Results:
Ashton Wheeler placed 29th in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.41 seconds. Setting a new persona record. Wheeler would also compete in the men's long jump, placing 13th with a distance of 6.05 meters.
Weston Jennings placed 53rd in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.67 seconds. Jennings would also compete in the men's long jump and placed 18th with a distance of 5.72 meters. Setting a new persona record in both events.
Amir Martin placed 68th in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.95 seconds. Setting a new persona record.
Marcus Garrett placed 70th in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.98 seconds. Setting a new persona record.
Noah Ottinger placed 24th in the men's 400-meter with a time of 56.78 seconds.
Andrew Hentz placed 31st in the men's 400-meter with a time of 1:00.23.
The men's 4x 200-meter relay team consisted of Mos Flowers, Weston Jennings, Marcus Garrett, and Amir Martin. They would place 4th with a time of 1:43.53
The men's distance relay team consisted of Noah Ottinger, Isaac Armour-Dozier, Andrew Hentz, and Brayden Ewers. They placed 5th with a time of 12:41.
