However you want to say, it, the Westminster College women's basketball is "dialed in." For the second consecutive game, the Blue Jays scored at least 100 points. On Saturday they torched Iowa Wesleyan (3-11, 2-6), 103-61, in a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference road game.

The Tigers opened the game's scoring on a jumper by Harriet Fowler, and increased its lead to 9-3 with 6:18 remaining in the first quarter, but it was all Westminster from that point. The Blue Jays closed out the period on an 18-2 run to lead, 21-11. Westminster (13-3, 7-1) didn't cool off in the second quarter, outscoring the Tigers 25-11 for a 46-22 advantage at intermission and never looked back.

"Right now our ladies are really dialed in," Westminster Coach James Arnold said. "Most impressively it has been on both ends of the floor. It has started in practices and shoot arounds and it's a lot of fun. I'm thankful of that continued effort and support of one another."

Perhaps no one is more dialed in than sophomore guard Kallee Dowler, who lead the way for the Blue Jays on Saturday, torching the nets for a game-high 30 points in the victory. Dowler shot with laser-like precision, connecting on 11 of 16 shots from the field – 8 of 13 from 3-point range. Her eight treys tied a team record for most 3-point baskets in a game.

"It's easy when my teammates are getting me the ball when I have open looks at the basket," Dowler said. "When I'm that wide-open I just have to pull it."

The Blue Jays demonstrated that support of each other with balanced scoring and a high number of assists. At least 12 Blue Jays scored in the game with Kendahl Adams scoring 18 points and Kendal Miller chipping in 17. The team also had an impressive 29 assists – the third most in a contest. Makayla Jackson, filling in at the point for the injured Rei Imamura, dished out eight.

However, leading the way for the Blue Jays on Saturday was sophomore guard Kallie Dowler, who torched the nets for a game-high 30 points in the victory. "We are blessed with so many talented players and weapons and on different nights; we've had so many people show out," Arnold said. "Dowler once again proved why she is one of the premier shooters in the country."

The Blue Jays shot 49 percent from the field; 46 percent from beyond the arc while holding Iowa Wesleyan to33 percent from the field (21-63) and 22 percent (6 of 27) from 3-point range. Westminster was dominant on the board, out-rebounding the Tigers 43-24. Iowa Wesleyan percentage-wise outshot the Blue Jays from the free-throw line, 93 percent (13 of 14) to 79 percent (11 of 14) advantage

Westminster returns to action on Monday when it hosts Greenville at 1 PM in Historic Gym.

"We have little time to rest as we have a massive week approaching with three huge opportunities at home," Arnold said.
