The Westminster College women's basketball team's Abbie Reece has been selected the SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance in last Friday's 89-57 road victory over Fontbonne University. The win kept the Blue Jays in a tie for the top spot in the conference at 5-1 tied with Webster University.
Reece put up 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting in the 89-57 win over Fontbonne. Reece knocked down 4-of-5 three-pointers and added four rebounds in the game.
The Blue Jays return to action Tuesday night at home in Historic Gym as they welcome the Iowa Wesleyan University Tigers. The game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. tip off.
