1/27/2024 Fulton, Mo–The Westminster College women's basketball team hosted the Blackburn College Beavers in the annual Coaches vs Cancer game. There was a great crowd on hand to watch Blue Jay basketball and support a great cause. The fans would not leave disappointed as the Blue Jays defeated the Beavers 111-43. Westminster improved to 10-9 on the season and 8-4 in the SLIAC. Blackburn falls to 2-16 on the season and 0-12 in the SLIAC.

The Blue Jays came out and set the tone early. They would hold the Beavers to just 6 points in the first quarter while scoring 22 themselves. They would lead the game from start to finish en route to the 111-43 win.

Westminster forced Blackburn to turn the ball over 27 times, and that resulted in 36 points on turnovers. The Blue Jays out-rebounded the Beavers 53-22, shot 63% from the field, 36% from behind the three-point arc, making 7 threes in the game and went 18-26 from the free throw line in what was a very one-sided contest.
