Women's Soccer Battles Ozarks to Double Overtime Draw, 0-0

The Westminster women's soccer team duked it out with the University of the Ozarks (Ark.) on Friday evening, ended the double overtime match with a 0-0 draw. The tie is the first of the season for the Blue Jays, bringing their overall record to 2-1-1.

The Blue Jays took six shots on goal in the first half and eight in the second half. They outshot the Ozark Eagles 23-1, but were unable to break down the opponent's goalkeeper. The Blue Jays ended the 120 minutes of play with 15 shots on goal including four shots on goal from senior Eileen Koppy

Junior goalkeeper Ellen Woolsey (2-1-1) was credited with the tie in goal. She grabbed one save in her 120 minutes in goal. 

The Blue Jays host Knox College on Sunday, September 13, at 2:00 p.m. The game will be held at Fulton High School.
