Westminster Women's Tennis Sweeps Mills

MILWAUKEE - Westminster women's tennis earned its first win of the fall season with a 9-0 sweep over Mills. 

"The ladies very much enjoyed playing a team from another part of the country," said Westminster Head Coach David Dyson. "It was a great NCAA Division III experience getting to meet and play a team we wouldn't normally have the opportunity."

Sydney Attebery and Clara Baldwin earned a win at No. 1 doubles 8-1. Natalie Tiffany and Meaghan McGuire played at No. 2 doubles 8-6. Laurel Royer and Kelsey Gerlach won 8-1 at No. 3 doubles. 

All six Blue Jays won in straight sets, starting with Attebery at No. 1, 6-1, 6-0. 

Baldwin at No. 2 finished with a win 6-0, 6-2. Tiffany won at No. 3 6-4, 6-2. Royer played at No. 4 and won 6-1, 7-5. Gerlach played No. 5 and finished with a win 6-2, 6-0. McGuire solidified the sweep for Westminster with a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 6. 

Westminster returns to action Sunday against Milwaukee School of Engineering at 9 a.m. and Alverno at 1 p.m.
