Greenville Edges Westminster Women's Tennis

The Saturday dual contained many tightly contested matches where three singles matches were decided in three sets and two doubles matches were won by two or less games.

Westminster fell to 3-5 on the season (1-3 in SLIAC) while the Panthers improved to 2-7 on the season (1-2 in SLIAC).

In singles, Natalie Tiffany and Laural Royer took home the victories for the Blue Jays. Tiffany won her match in straight sets 7-6, 6-3, while Royer won in a three-set thriller 4-6, 6-4, 11-9. 

Meaghan McGuire and Isabel O'Neil each went to a third and final set in their singles matches, but ended up on the losing end.

In doubles, the Blue Jays claimed two out of the three matches on the day. Natalie Tiffany and Laural Royer won their match by a close score of 8-6. Payton Beeler and Laura Kelly also won their doubles match, ending with a final score of 9-8.

Westminster continues conference play on Sunday, April 8th, with a home match against Fontbonne at 2pm.
