Westminster Tops Stephens College

Westminster Women's Tennis won a non-conference match on Tuesday against Stephens College by a score of 6-3.

With the victory, the Blue Jays improved their record to 5-5 on the season (2-2 in SLIAC), while remaining in the 3rd slot in the current SLIAC standings.

In singles, the Westminster won five out the six matches on the day. Clara Baldwin, Sydney Attebery, Natalie Tiffany, Alexa McPherson, and Payton Beeler all took home the victories for the Blue Jays. 

Natalie Tiffany had the most exciting singles match on the day, winning after dropping the first set 3-6 and capping off the comeback with a 15-13 victory in the third and final set.

In doubles, Laural Royer and Laura Kelly claimed the one and only doubles victory on the day for the Blue Jays, winning by a decisive score of 8-1.

Westminster closes out the regular season on Wednesday, April 12th, on the road at a key conference opponent in Webster. The match begins promptly at 6pm.
