Two Indoor Women's Track & Field Records Fall at Prin Relays

Two indoor women's track and field records fall at Saturday's Prin Relays hosted by Principia College. The team had four runners compete in three events and finished with three top 10 performances. 

Sophomore Shannon McCaul broke the 2012 one-mile record with her second place 5:26.75 finish. Freshman Jessie Kuykendall placed third in the race with a time of 5:42.96.

Sophomore Taylor Howard was the second broken record of the meet, breaking the previously held 500-meter run record. She placed sixth in the race with a time of 1:25.30, just a second shorter than the 2014 record. Freshman Katie Herzing also ran the 500-meter and placed 20th (1:49.72). Howard also ran the 300-meter run and placed 13th with a time of 46.66.

The Westminster Blue Jays continue their indoor season at the Jim Green Invite hosted by Illinois College on Saturday, February 6.
