Branneky Named UMAC Special Teams Player of the Week

ST. PAUL, Minn.– Westminster sophomore kicker Tim Branneky (St. Louis, Mo. / Lutheran High School North) has been named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.

At the end, the second quarter Branneky made a 58-yard field goal to put the Blue Jays up 6-0. This kick broke the school and conference record for the longest field goal and is the longest in Division III this season. Branneky also made a 45-yard field which is the second-longest in Westminster history behind his 58-yard kick. Branneky's two field goals tied a program record for most in a game, held by multiple players including teammate Brad Hammel who made a pair of field goals earlier this season against MacMurray.

In addition to his two field goals, Branneky punted seven times for 221 yards and averaged 63 yards per kickoff with three touchbacks.

The Blue Jays will play Crown College at noon on Saturday in their final home game of the season.
