Westminster Men's Lacrosse Falls to Missouri Valley

FULTON, Mo. -Westminster men's lacrosse suffered a tough loss to Missouri Valley on their last home game of the year.

The squad lost 27-0 against one of the top NAIA programs in the country.

"The score of this game does not show the whole story," said Westminster Head Coach Scott Fields. "Dyllon Durrell played his first game of the season after a knee injury. Althought he was not at full game speedm his patience and leadership helped add a new dimension to our defense.

As a team, we forced more turnovers, fought for each groundball, and showed patience and character on each play. We improved on our clears as well as team defense. There were times when all of us wanted to throw in the towel, but we chose to keep fighting the small battles.

Each player continues to have small growt, but Jonathon Neaf has definitely been one of the most improved as we switched him from our number two goalie to defense," continued Fields.

Westminster plays against Bethlen at Northwestern-St. Paul on April 7.
