COLUMBIA, Mo.– Bailee Zemianek set a school record with seven RBIs in the first game of today's doubleheader against Stephens College. The sophomore went 3-5 with a home run and two doubles to lead the Blue Jays to a 21-1 victory.

Zemianek wasn't the only Blue Jay to put up impressive offensive numbers in the opening game as the team totaled 16 hits in just five innings. Laney Rosson went 2-4 with four RBIs while Emily Lucitt, Sarah Cradick, and Brooke Laidley each drove in three runs. Cradick went 2-3 in the game and recorded the first hits and RBIs of her career. Mackenzie Myers reached bases four times by going 3-3 and drawing a walk.

Katie Price pitched all five innings allowing just five hits and striking out four to earn her first win of the season.

The Blue Jays picked up right where they left off in the second game, scoring six runs in the top of the first. Zemianek tripled in a pair of runs before scoring on a wild pitch to give the Blue Jays a 3-0 lead. Laidley then reached on a single and Price homered to center field to make the score 5-0 before the Stars even recorded an out.

The Blue Jays added four more runs in the second, two in the third and another in the fifth to take the game 13-1 and sweep the doubleheader.

Zemianek once again put on a show at the plate, going 3-4 with three RBIs. Price also recorded three hits and drove in four runs. Kasey Ginder recorded the first hit of her career with a single to right-center in the fourth.

Myers recorded the 100th hit of her career with an RBI double in the fifth inning.

Ingram went all five-innings for the Blue Jays allowing one run while striking out nine.

The Blue Jays improve to 2-2 on the season with today's wins.

Next up the Blue Jays will travel down to Florida for an eight-game stint at The Spring Games. They will open the trip against SUNY Geneseo on March 14th.
