Lebanon, IL 4/7/2023- The Westminster College women's track and field team traveled to Lebanon, IL on Friday to participate in the 2023 Bearcat Classic hosted by McKendree University. A pair of Blue Jays would win their respective events, sophomore runner Moenasia Sidique (Mexico, MO/ Mexico) got first place in the 400-meter dash and freshman Hannah Myers (St. Louis, MO / St. Charles West) won the long jump. The Blue Jays placed 6th overall in the event with 32 points.
Sidique won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.31.
Myers won the long jump with a distance of 4.86 meters on her third attempt. She would also compete in the high jump and triple jump. In the triple jump, she would post a distance of 9.89 meters on her last attempt, finishing 2nd place. Myers would finish 4th in the high jump with a height of 1.45 meters.
Natalie Stewart (West Plains, MO / West Plains) competed in the 800 meters and finished in 10th place with a time of 2:56.84
