Greenville, IL 4/15/2023- The Westminster College women's track and field team traveled to Greenville, Illinois to take part in the 2023 Greenville University Select Meet. They would place 9th overall, with 12.50 team points and 15 teams competing.
Freshman Hannah Myers (St. Louis Mo / St. Charles West) competed in the high jump, triple jump, and 200-meter dash. She would tie for fourth place in the high jump, recording a height of 1.48 meters. She would have a distance of 10.58 meters in the triple jump, good for a 6th-place finish. Myers would finish second in her heat with a time of 27.62 in the 200-meter dash, but did not qualify for the final.
Sophomore sprinter Moenasia Sidique (Mexico, MO/ Mexico) would compete in the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash. In the 200, she would run a 26.43 in the qualifying heat, which was good enough to put her in the final. In the 200-meter finals, she would run a 26.422, finishing 5th overall. Sidique ran a 1:01.64 in the 400 meters and finished fifth in her heat.
