The Vikings came in with a 2-1 record on the season and surpassed the Blue Jays by a final score of 16-3.

For the first ten minutes of play, the score remained close, with the Vikings holding a narrow 1-0 lead. But then the visitors went on a long scoring run, finding the net 6 times within the next 10 minutes of the half.

Augustana looked like they would go into the break by shutting out the Blue Jays, but with 44 seconds left in the first half, Daisey Humsey secured the pass from Julia Roach and flung it into the back of the net for the Blue Jays' first goal on the day.

Following the break, where the Vikings had a commanding 9-1 lead, Humsey and Roach would continute to supply the offense for the Blue Jays. At the 13:15 mark in the half, Humsey found the net again for the Blue Jays' second goal of the game. Then, 4 minutes later, Roach tallied another for the home team with a goal of her own.

Head Coach Kristi Crowley was very encouraged by the team's performance on this day. "We played a man down the whole game, and the girls kept fighting," she said. "There are a lot of positives we can take away, and we learned some aspects of the sport we need to work on before our upcoming game."

The Blue Jays have a quick turnaround before Ottawa comes into town this Sunday, March 4th for another home game.
