Humsey Adds Goal in Westminster Lacrosse Loss

FULTON, Mo. - Daisy Humsey scored the lone goal for Westminster lacrosse in the team's loss against Ottawa.

The Blue Jays fall to 0-6 on the year. 

Westminster fought hard in the opening 10 minutes to keep the game scoreless, not allowing a goal until the 19:20 mark of the first half. After eight unanswered goals in the first half, Humsey put the Blue Jays on the board at the 1:32 mark of the half to make the score 8-1. Ottawa added a final goal before the halftime horn to send each team to the locker rooms with a score of 9-1. 

The Blue Jays were unable to add to their total in the second half, eventually falling 16-1. 

Humsey tallied two shots in the game while also picking up six ground balls. Lydia Creech also added five ground balls. 

The Blue Jays stay at home to face Siena Heights Thursday at 4 p.m. at Priest Field.
