The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) announced the Players of the Week, and Westminster senior Kyle Collins was among the list for men's tennis.
Collins, a senior from St. Louis, Mo., went undefeated last week in earning SLIAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors. Collins recorded two wins in singles play and two more victories in doubles action. Playing at #2 singles, Collins picked up a 7-6, 6-0 win over Nebraska Wesleyan and a 6-1, 6-4 win over Illinois College. He continued to pile on the wins, teaming with sophomore Adam Fuchs, to win 8-5 over Nebraska Wesleyan in the #1 doubles spot and 9-7 over Illinois College. Collins' wins against Illinois College helped the Blue Jays pick up their first dual match win of the season.
The tennis team opens up conference play with their home-opener on Tuesday, March 22, versus Webster University at 4:00 pm.
