Westminster Women’s Cross Country Picked Seventh in SLIAC, Men’s Picked Ninth

ST. LOUIS – The Blue Jay women's cross country team has been voted to finish seventh in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference by the conference's coaches. The men's team was voted to finish ninth in the conference. Both teams will be led by first-year Head Coach Will Crocker.

The women's team will be led by senior Charlotte Blair, who won the All-Sportsmanship award for Westminster and finished 24th with a time of 26:48.73 at the SLIAC championship meet last fall. Blair will be joined by newcomer Cara Wilfong.

Crocker will look to returning runners junior Joseph Labitska (Festus, Mo. / Festus), sophomore Sam Moore and sophomore Billy Murphy to lead the men's team. Moore placed 24th last season at the SLIAC championship with a time of 29 minutes. Labitska finished 32nd with a time of 31:01.03 and Murphy finished 53rd with a time of 36:49.59.

Both teams will begin their season on September 7 at the Eagle Invite in Fayette, Mo.
