Westminster Women's Tennis won their first match in SLIAC play on Sunday against the Fontbonne Griffins. In a landslide victory, the Blue Jays won by a final score of 8-1.
The win improves the Blue Jays' record to 2-4 on the season (1-1 in SLIAC).
In doubles, Westminster secured all three match victories in which the duos of Sydney Attebery/Clara Baldwin, Natalie Tiffany/Maddy Gipe, and Isabel O'Neil/Allison Frisella all easily handled their opponents.
In singles, the Blue Jays took home five out of the six matches handily in straight-sets, with the only loss coming from a an injured player unfortunately having to retire.
Westminster will continue its conference season Tuesday, April 9th when they travel to Greenville University to face the Panthers for a 4:00pm match.
