St. Louis, MO 10/26/2022- The Westminster volleyball team traveled to St. Louis to take on the Washington University Bears in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday night. The Blue Jays would lose to the Bears 3-0 (14-25,17-25,19-25) and fall to 15-14 on the season.
WashU would smother the Blue Jay attack, limiting them to less than twenty points in all three sets.
Haley Menke (O'Fallon, Mo. / Fort Zumwalt West) and Eryka Wanyonyi (Columbia, MO/Hickman) would lead the Jays in kills with five each. Kate Rable (Saint Peters, Mo. / Fort Zumwalt South) got eleven assists and had four service aces. Malena Bixby (New Berlin, IL/New Berlin) had two solo blocks in the game.
The Blue Jays will be back in action on Friday, October 28th when they take on Wheaton College in game one of the Central College tournament. That game will start at 8:00 PM.
