Women's Cross Country Takes 30th at NCAA Midwest Regional

The Westminster women's cross country team placed 30th out of 40 teams in the NCAA Midwest Regional in Rock Island, Illinois on Saturday, November 14. The Westminster Blue Jays earned 917 points.

Senior Brier Skogsberg finished first for the Blue Jays, placing 139th with a time of 24:12.4. She finished just .5 seconds behind the previous runner.

Sophomore Madison Zack finished next for the Blue Jays, crossing the line in 24:47.2. She finished just .1 second behind the 170th place runner to take 171st. 

Sophomore Taylor Howard placed 190th with a time of 25:11.6, and sophomore Alex Rauscher finished just two places later with a time of 25:19.4.

Freshman Jessie Kuykendall earned the final points for the Blue Jay team. She placed 225th with a time of 26:33.0. 

Senior Claire Gibby was the final runner for the Blue Jays. She crossed the finish line in 28:05.6, finishing in 249th.  

The Blue Jay's season comes to a close after the Regional. They will graduate two seniors, Brier Skogsberg and Claire Gibby.
