Men's Track and Field Brings Home Fifth Place at SLIAC Invitational

The Westminster men's track and field team placed fifth out of seven in their season finale at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Invitational. The Blue Jays placed in the top six in all six events competed in, earning the team a total of 21 points. 

Sophomore Addison Conway broke the Westminster 400-meter hurdles record with his fifth place, 59.17 race time. His finish earned the team two points. 

Sophomore Logan Shoemaker earned a second place finish out of 12 in the shot put with a 13.60-meter throw, grabbing eight points for the Blue Jays. 

Junior Ryan Dyer placed fifth out of 17 in the 800-meter run, and his 2:00.41 time earned the Blue Jays four points. 

The 4x400-meter relay team also grabbed four points with their fifth place finish. The team, comprised of freshman Manoj Chapagain, Conway, freshman Kole Rackers and Dyer, crossed the finish line in 3:38.54.

Junior Glenn Teubner earned a fifth place finish in the 5000-meter run with a 17:16.46 time, and Conway placed sixth in the triple jump, earning the final point for the team with his 10.17-meter jump.
