Shoemaker and Dyer Break Records at Jim Green Invite

Westminster's sophomore Logan Shoemaker and junior Ryan Dyer each broke a record at the Jim Green Invite on Saturday in Jacksonville, Illinois. The men's track and field team placed 22nd with two points earned.

Shoemaker broke his previously held shot put record by .04 meters. The new record is a 13.27-meter throw that landed him in eighth place. 

Dyer broke the 2012 record for the 800-meter run, shaving over a second off. He finished the race in 2:06.38.

Junior Glenn Teuber earned the two points for the Blue Jays with his seventh place finish in the 5000-meter run, finishing in 16:12.61.

Junior Brooklyn McCoy ran the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash. He finished the 60-meter dash in 7.91 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 26.69 seconds.

Freshman Kole Rackers competed in the 400-meter dash and the 800-meter dash. He finished the 400-meter in 57.69 seconds and the 800-meter in 2:13.75.

The men's track and field team continues their indoor season on Friday, February 19, at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge hosted by Mizzou.
