Westminster Men's Wrestling Competes At NWCA National Duals

Louisville, Ky. – The Westminster men's wrestling team competed the U.S. Marine Corps/National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Multi-Divisional National Duals on Friday, going 0-3.

The Blue Jays dropped their opening match to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 31-21 and were defeated 40-9 by North Central. In their final match the Blue Jays narrowly lost to Roger Williams 28-22.

Brock Davis went 2-1 on the day at 125 pounds, winning a 3-2 decision in the UW-La Crosse match and a 13-1 major decision against Roger Williams. Dalton Landreth recorded a pair of pins at 133 pounds. Daryl VanNostrand also went 2-1 with two pins at 197.

At 285 Kobe Kaminski recorded a pin and win by decision to finish day 2-1.

Sean Sax went 3-0 with a pin and two wins by decision at 149.

Next up the Blue Jays will return home for a dual meet against Central Methodist at 6:00 on Thursday night.
