Westminster Volleyball Drops Two at Nebraska Wesleyan

LINCOLN, Neb. - Westminster volleyball opened the weekend at Nebraska Wesleyan with two losses to Wisconsin-Platteville and NWU.

The Blue Jays opened the day with a rematch against Wisconsin-Platteville. The Pioneers remain undefeated after their second victory over the Blue Jays this season. 

Westminster remained in the game for each set, winning the second 25-17 but eventually falling 3-1. 

Ashley Kistaitis led all hitters with 17 kills while Teresa Becker added 30 assists. Bridget Ringwald tallied 24 digs. 

Westminster took a long break before facing Nebraska Wesleyan, falling 3-1. 

After losing the first set by double-digits, the Blue Jays returned in the second set to take the win 25-17, falling in the last two sets. 

Kistaitis again led the offensive attack with 10 kills with Becker tallying 31 assists. Ringwald recorded 19 digs. 

Westminster contiues the tournament with matches against Simpson and Buena Vista Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
