Price, Holloway, Henderson Earn Top Conference Awards

ST. ANN, Mo. - Katie Price, Emily Holloway, and Head Coach Joe Henderson earned the top All-Conference awards for Westminster softball.

Price was named the Pitcher of the Year, Holloway earned the Newcomer of the Year, and Henderson won his second straight Coach of the Year, as announced at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference softball tournament. 

Price was named the Pitcher of the Year after pitching her way to a 13-7 record, including an 11-1 record in the conference. Price led the SLIAC in ERA (1.98), wins (13), and strikeouts (111). 

Holloway earned the Newcomer of the Year award, leading the conference in runs scored with 38. She was also top 15 in the conference in on-base percentage and hits this season. 

This year, Henderson became the all-time winningest coach at Westminster on his way to his second straight Coach of the Year award, leading the team its second straight regular season conference championship. 

Price and Holloway were both named to the First Team along with their awards. 

Amber Tepen and Brooke Laidley each earned First Team nods along with Price and Holloway.

Tepen was fifth in the conference in hits and tied for fourth in doubles this season. She was also tied for third in RBI. This is the third First Team nod for Tepen in her career and the fourth time on an All-Conference team. 

Laidley was named to an All-Conference team for the first time in her career, and was top five in several hitting categories including runs, hits, and batting average. 

The Blue Jays also named four players to the All-Conference Third Team, including Madison Ingram, Callie Collier, Madison Washington, and Mackenzie Myers

Ingram was seventh in the conference in wins with seven, and ninth in the conference in ERA at 3.72. Collier posted a batting average of .302 and 10 RBI this season. Washington proved to be one of the team's biggest offensive powers, batting .400, driving in 21 RBI, and hitting three home runs, including a grand slam. Myers recorded 20 RBI and a .344 average this season. 

Brooklyn Bledsoe was named to the All-Sportsmanship team for her constant display of Sportsmanship throughout the season.
