11/3/24 Fulton, MO - The Westminster Blue Jays (1-7, 0-5) fell to the Greenville Panthers in an away game this Saturday, ending in a 45-7 decision. Despite the scoreline, Westminster showed moments of resilience, particularly in a strong drive late in the fourth quarter. After being held scoreless for three quarters, the Blue Jays put together an impressive 65-yard drive spanning seven plays.  

Running back Dante Billups capped it off with a 4-yard touchdown run, breaking Westminster's scoring drought. Billups led Westminster's ground game, carrying the ball 14 times for 85 yards, including a 33-yard burst that marked the team's longest gain of the game. His consistent gains helped move the chains and extended drives, providing a solid foundation for the offense. Trace Helsel had a steady performance overall, rushing for 44 yards on 12 carries. Quarterback Keegan Zdybel finished with 125 yards through the air on 13 completions, connecting with a variety of targets. Michael Worthy was Zdybel's primary option, leading the receiving corps with 6 catches for 50 yards. Braylon White added 29 yards on 2 catches, while Aden Campbell contributed 3 catches for 25 yards. 

Special teams also saw some action, with Jaden Williams handling 4 kickoff returns for 52 yards, including a 21-yard return that helped set up Westminster's scoring drive in the final quarter. Punter William Corley faced heavy usage, punting 6 times for a total of 114 yards, including one inside the 20-yard line. 

Although Greenville's early lead proved insurmountable, Westminster's fourth-quarter push and individual performances provided highlights. The Blue Jays look to build on these efforts as they prepare for their next matchup.
