Men's Soccer: vs. Illinois College Blueboys Preview

Fulton, Mo. - The Westminster College Blue Jay men's soccer team will be back in action today on their home field. Head Coach Adam Galla and his team will be taking on the Illinois College Blueboys in a 3:30 p.m. kick off. This will be the only non-conference game of the season for the Blue Jays.

Taking a look at the Westminster College Blue Jays (0-1-1, 0-1-1 SLIAC):

  • The Blue Jays were picked fifth in the SLIAC Pre-season Coaches Poll.
  • The Blue Jays are coming off an intense 1-1 draw at home vs. Iowa Wesleyan University this past Wednesday.
  • Senior Jacob Skaggs leads the Blue Jays in goals with one.
  • Joshua Udinyiwe leads the Blue Jays with six shots and four shots on goal.  Patrick Wisnewski also has recorded six shots and has put three of those shots on goal.
  • Blue Jay Keeper Chase Vogt has recoded 12 saves on 14 total shots on goal in 200 minutes played.

Taking a look at the Illinois College Blueboys (1-1-1, 0-0 MWC):

  • The Blueboys are coming off of a 4-0 victory vs. Lincoln Christian College at home on March 13th.
  • The Blueboys are led in scoring by TK Ayers with two goals. Spencer Bloome, Josh Patzbecker, Tyler Schiltz, Scott Niko and Cade Trautvetter all have 1 goal each.
  • The Blueboys Ayers, Bloome and Jacob Milnes lead the team in assists with one each.
  • Raul Rubalcava leads the Blueboys in goal facing 15 shots on goal on the year and making 13 saves in three games.
