Fulton, Mo., March 5, 2021 - The Westminster College Blue Jay men's soccer team stayed on a roll this week winning two games and keeping their winning streak alive and well. The streak sits at five straight games won.  The Blue Jays sport an overall record of 5-1-1 and 4-1-1 in the SLIAC.  A big part of this weeks games has been the play of defender Sam Heckart.  Today he was recognized as the SLIAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Heckart was part of a defense that held its opponents to just 10 total shots and one goal in two Blue Jays wins. The senior back also netted the game-winner in a 2-1 win over Fotbonne.

Heckart and the Blue Jays will be back in action on Wednesday when they will visit Iowa Wesleyan University for a 1:00 p.m. kick off.
